About the event

Text Power Telling invites you to join us for our very-first virtual collage workshop: Pieces and Persistence. Like writing, the practice of art gives survivors an outlet to process, navigate, and heal from traumatic experiences. Collaging, specifically, requires artists to create something new out of many fragments, which for many, resembles the healing process after sexual violence. Inspired by the work of artist, writer, and activist Chanel Miller, our collages will explore hope, healing, and self-reclamation as we honor our past, present, and future-selves. 



Pieces and Persistence is a free, virtual workshop that is open to everyone regardless of artistic skill-level. You do not need to be a survivor to participate. All mediums are welcome (including digital), and participants will be sent a list of recommended supplies to gather before the workshop.
